What should I prepare for my passport if I want to go to Korea and Thailand?

Check the requirements of the exit-entry office of the local public security bureau. The requirements vary from place to place.

For example, according to the understanding of Macao and Shenzhen immigrants, the application materials required for Shanghai to apply for a passport are as follows:

1. Go to the social service photo point of the entry-exit department to collect the electronic photos of the entry-exit documents (those collected within one year can be exempted).

2. Submit the Application Form for Entry-Exit Certificates of China Citizens, complete with recent bareheaded color photos (48×33mm, white background) of the applicant (if the application form printed by the self-service form filling machine has been printed with photos, there is no need to post it).

3. Submit the original residence booklet (or household registration certificate) and resident ID card (or temporary resident ID card) and submit a copy.

Overseas Chinese shall submit the certificate of going abroad for settlement (green card or settlement visa) and the temporary residence permit of Hong Kong and Macao residents and overseas Chinese (or the certificate of cancellation of household registration in this city), and submit a copy.

Soldiers should submit the original military identity certificate and a copy.

4. Soldiers and registered state functionaries shall submit a letter of consent to apply for entry and exit certificates issued by their subordinate units or superior competent units after examination and approval in accordance with the personnel management authority.

5. If the applicant has previously applied for an ordinary passport of the People's Republic of China (expired), he must submit an invalid passport (if the invalid passport is lost, he must indicate it on the application form and fill in the Confirmation Form for Application for Entry and Exit Documents).

6. Applicants who enter the country with the Travel Permit of the People's Republic of China shall submit the original and a copy of the Travel Permit of the People's Republic of China.

7. Other materials that the exit-entry administrative department of public security deems necessary.
