Bangkok university was founded by Mr Surat and Mrs Pongtip Osathanugrah on February 25th, 1962/kloc-0. Surat Osathanugrah is one of the most successful businessmen in Thailand. He used to be deputy minister of the interior, minister of commerce and former people's representative.

The school was originally a comprehensive institute of technology in Thailand, and 1965 was transformed into Bangkok College, becoming the first private college in Thailand. 1October 25th, 1984, 10, the university officially recognized that the university was upgraded to a university, which made bangkok university successful and opened an international college.

Bangkok university is a private non-profit educational institution sponsored by the bangkok university Foundation. The inspiration for the establishment of this university comes from the founder's desire to establish the third largest educational institution, and since then, it has cultivated students' academic and experimental abilities.

Bangkok university offers Thai and English courses. Bachelor's degrees taught in Thai include: business, accounting, economics, communication arts, humanities, law, computer science, literature and applied literature, and engineering.

On August 26th, 1974, the Alumni Association was formally established. The main purpose of establishing this association is to keep former students in close contact with universities. Many outstanding alumni have become corporate executives, heads of consulting companies, journalists, writers and social workers. It has brought considerable contributions to society.
