Are there many Vietnamese in Thailand?

There are an estimated 70,000 Vietnamese in Thailand. First, they fled the political turmoil and persecution in18th century and19th century. Most of them settled in Bangkok or the southeast of the region, and many of their descendants were absorbed into Thai society, but some people still live in villages. The second group stayed in Thailand for a short time, except for a few exceptions, but their descendants and other Vietnamese still existed after they came to Thailand. The third category includes1people who arrived in Thailand after World War II in 945, and1people who consolidated the rule of North Vietnam in 975. During this period, there were voluntary immigrants and involuntary immigrants, some of whom were unable or unwilling to return to their homes after World War II.
