1. IELTS registration requirements

2. Instructions for IELTS candidates

3. IELTS registration certificate requirements

IELTS online registration only accepts the following documents:

Chinese mainland candidates should use a valid second-generation ID card or passport.

Candidates from Hong Kong and Macao should register with valid ID cards or passports.

Candidates in Taiwan Province Province must hold a valid mainland travel permit for taiwan residents.

Non-China candidates should apply with valid passports.

The types of documents that IELTS online registration does not accept include, but are not limited to: first-generation ID card, household registration book, household registration certificate, public security organ certificate, motor vehicle driver's license, student ID card, work permit, China people's travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao, Hong Kong and Macao residents' travel permit to and from the Mainland (home visit permit), Hong Kong visa identity certificate and any expired documents.
