What is the relocation policy?

Legal analysis: Relocation for ex situ poverty alleviation is decided by the poverty alleviation department, and the local town government signs "three agreements" with the masses (relocation, poverty alleviation, demolition and reclamation). When the government builds houses and distributes houses, the masses move in at the resettlement sites and subsidize the construction units. When the relocated households help the poor to buy commercial housing, the enterprise shall apply for it, the county government shall examine and approve it, reasonably determine the price, and the people shall purchase the house, check and accept the payment, and the subsidy shall be paid to the construction unit. Ex situ poverty alleviation and relocation households vacate their old house base. The incentive subsidy will be vacated by the masses according to the agreed time, organized and implemented by the town office, and rewarded to the masses after acceptance by the County Land and Resources Bureau.

Legal basis: Article 9 of the Land Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, state-owned land and land collectively owned by farmers may be designated to units or individuals for use according to law. Units and individuals that use land have the obligation to protect, manage and rationally use land.
