Passports of American immigrants
There are three kinds of passports, personal passports, official passports and diplomatic passports.
Most people travel abroad with private passports and apply for immigration or something.
The official passport is applicable to public servants such as those who go abroad for inspection.
Diplomatic passports are used by embassies and consulates of foreign institutions and enjoy diplomatic immunity.
No matter which country you immigrate to, you use your personal passport and then apply for an immigrant visa before you can leave the country.
If you become a citizen of another country, your original passport will automatically become invalid, because China does not recognize dual citizenship.
