Booking an interview online will shorten the average waiting time of applicants to 2 to 4 days, and applicants usually get their passports with visa pages 1 to 2 working days after interviewing visa officers. In the existing application process, China citizens need to pay three fees when applying for a non-immigrant visa in the United States, namely, an appointment fee (36 yuan -54 yuan RMB), a visa processing fee (160 USD) and a passport mailing fee (32 yuan RMB). In the new application procedure, the applicant's booking fee and passport mailing fee will be cancelled, and China applicants only need to pay the visa processing fee of US$ 65,438+US$ 060.

Remarks: Children under the age of 14 don't need to be interviewed (but if the children have reached the age of 14 within the planned time to go to the United States, they need to be interviewed at the consulate, otherwise they may be refused entry at the US Customs because they don't have their fingerprints).
