Beidahuang is which city in China now?
Beida Wasteland refers to the vast wasteland in the Sanjiang Plain, the Heilongjiang Riverside Plain and the Nenjiang River Basin in northern Heilongjiang Province. China carried out large-scale land reclamation and farm operations in the 1950s, turning Beidahuang into what it is today. Beidahuang has the reputation of "kneading the black soil, producing oily flowers, and using chopsticks to germinate". "There is the South-to-North Water Diversion Project in the south and the Sanjiang Irrigation District in the north," said some farmers in the Sanjiang Plain of Heilongjiang Province. The aqueduct system is more than 18,000 kilometers long, saving 1.8 billion cubic meters of groundwater every year. It is no longer difficult to grow “good rice” by changing regional planting conditions. In the Sanjiang Plain of Heilongjiang Province, the 14th Irrigation District Project has entered the final stage of construction of field supporting projects and is making new changes to the previous "Beida Field".
1. Beidahuang, located at 123°40' to 134°40' east longitude, spanning 11 longitudes; from 44°10' to 50°20' north latitude, running through 10 latitudes, with a total area of ??55,300 square meters kilometer. It refers to the vast barren areas of the Nenjiang River Basin, Heilongjiang River Basin and Sanjiang Plain in Heilongjiang. To the north is the extraordinary Lesser Khingan Mountains and to the west is the Songnen Plain. In 1948, the Communist Party of China kicked off the immigration and development of this wasteland. After 60 years of joint efforts by generations of people in the northern wilderness, there are 113 large-scale agricultural ranches, more than 2,000 enterprises, 35.6 million acres of arable land, and 1.778 million people, distributed in 12 cities and 74 counties. It is located in the Nen River Basin of Heilongjiang Province, The Sanjiang Plain, Heilongjiang River Basin and Mudanjiang River Basin have a total area of ??57,600 square kilometers. As usual, today's Beihuang has become synonymous with Heilongjiang reclamation area.
2. The Nenjiang River flows southward for thousands of miles from Erhuli Mountain and merges with the Songhua River. To the east is the famous Sanjiang Plain. The Heilongjiang River flows for thousands of miles, the Songhua River twists and turns, and the Wusuli River is gentle and peaceful. Three water veins merge quietly deep in the plain and flow eastward to the sea. Xingkai Lake, a vast geological landform, is right next to it, and the beautiful Wanda Mountain runs through it. The average altitude is 54 meters, and the slope of 1/10,000 constitutes a rare flat terrain. Beidahuang is one of the three largest black soil areas in the world. The soil is fertile, with an average organic matter content of 3 to 5%, and in some areas it exceeds 10%. Much of the land in the northern moors is fertile, and some is low-humid marshland.
3. To the north is the extraordinary Lesser Khingan Mountains. There are vast mountains, gentle hills and wide valleys. It is close to the wind outlet. Two-thirds of the year is in a state of frost, and the thickness of the permafrost layer reaches 2.5 meters. To the west is the Songnen Plain. The Nen River flows southward from the Yihuli Mountain for thousands of miles, and merges with the Songhua River to erode, making the terrain here flat and the prairie even more dreamy. To its east is the Sanjiang Plain. The average altitude is only 54 meters and the slope is 1/10,000, forming a rare flat terrain and a large area of ??low-humidity swamp. The floating ridges are unpredictable, so there is a magical legend of "ghost swamp". This is the land of ice and snow. It belongs to the cold temperate continental monsoon climate zone. The brutal Siberian cold current has been lingering here for a long time. Therefore, winter in Kitano is long, cold and dry. The average annual temperature drops from 2.6℃ to -3.5℃ from south to north, and the extreme minimum temperature reaches -40℃! In fact, cold was the main enemy the pioneers faced.
4. The natural landforms of Beidahuang are complex. According to historical records, Beihuang has been a wilderness since ancient times. Here, there are thorns, swamps, wind and snow, hordes of wild animals, few people, cold, remote, savage, dangerous and insurmountable. Beidahuang is the land of ice and snow and belongs to the cold temperate continental monsoon climate zone. Affected by the Siberian cold current, the winter is long, cold and dry. The lowest temperature in winter can reach -48.6 degrees. Two-thirds of the area is in the frost period every year. The thickest permafrost layer can reach 2.5 meters. The dripping water turns into ice and the goose-feather heavy snow is a metaphor for the image here.
