Do immigrants from Quebec, Canada have to take French exams?
Immigration to Canada requires applicants to know English or French. Only Quebec must know French, and all other provinces are English, so applicants can speak English. The language scores in the Canadian Immigration Rating Scale include English and French, and knowing French will add points.
Language Requirements of Quebec Immigrants:
Have a medium oral French foundation (B2 level, and the recognized French exams are TEFAQ, TCFQ, DELF, DALF, TCF,
TEF) or complete the French course recognized by Quebec Institute of Education (French exemption class);
If you have three years of high school education (middle school or junior college) in pure French, you don't need to provide additional language scores.
