How to get a visa if you want to travel freely in Chiang Mai?
According to the notice of the Ministry of Interior of Thailand, passport holders can apply for visas on arrival at entry checkpoints, and the stay time should not exceed 15 days. When passengers arrive at the airport, they will apply for visas on arrival. Choosing landing visa requires patience, and the waiting time is longer.
Those who wish to stay longer or change their visa types must apply for permission at the Immigration Bureau in Zone B of Laksi Chaengwattana Soi 7 Government Center in Bangkok. It is entirely up to immigration officials to decide whether to extend their stay and change certain types of visas. Visa applicants are advised to submit their applications at least 15 working days before the scheduled travel date.
