Why is Koguryo history a part of China history?

1. Koguryo was founded by Fuyu people in northeast China in ancient times. Its territory mainly lies in Liaodong, Xuantu, Le Lang and Daifang counties in Han Dynasty. In 37 BC, the widow Zhu Meng established political power in Koguryo County and Xuantu County, and the capital was promoted.

2. In the history of Koguryo, China was rebellious and dependent. The expansion of Koguryo Empire began in the ruthless era of the Great Xia and the High King, which coincided with Wang Mang's usurpation of the Han Dynasty. Wang Mang denounced Goguryeo as the next sentence, which triggered the war. Koguryo succeeded in Lien Chan, defeated the Xin Mang regime, occupied Le Lang, annexed neighboring small countries and entered the Korean Peninsula. After Guangwu Emperor Liu Xiu defeated Goguryeo and recovered Le Lang, it belonged to the Eastern Han Dynasty in the north and Goguryeo in the south, with the Qingchuan River on the Korean Peninsula as the boundary. Later, Koguryo took advantage of the domestic chaos to invade again on a large scale, nominally respecting the northern regime, but actually secretly plundering the land. At the end of the Northern and Southern Dynasties, it not only occupied four counties in Liaodong, but also conquered Silla and Baekje regimes on the Korean peninsula.

3. After the reunification of the Sui Dynasty, in order to recover the four counties in Liaodong, it launched a war against Koguryo, which eventually led to civil strife due to the failure of Yang Di. After the demise of the Sui Dynasty, Li Tang still did not forget to recover four counties, and finally destroyed Koguryo in 668 AD. Most of its nationals were smuggled into the mainland by Tang Jun, distributed in Hebei and Shandong, and a few fled to Baekje and Silla. Baekje is said to be a country founded by Koguryo nobles and later destroyed by the Tang Dynasty.

250 years after Goguryeo's demise, Silla general Wang Jianmao usurped the throne and established the Wang regime in North Korea. It is called Korea because Silla once surrendered to Koguryo, so it claims to be the successor of Koguryo. However, Silla people are descendants of three Koreas (Mahan, Han Ge and Chen Han) on the Korean Peninsula, and have no blood relationship with Koguryo established by Fuxi. Although some Koguryo people are integrated into it, it does not mean that they are Koguryo people themselves. Later, Wang Gaoli was replaced by Li Gaoli. Li Gaoli once surrendered to China, and in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, both claimed to be "China's dutiful son" ("Korean Ancestral Declaration" 37), until the merger of Japan and South Korea in 19 10, when Li Gaoli perished. Li Gaoli is the predecessor of North Korea and South Korea. However, neither Wang's Korea nor Li's Korea left the Korean peninsula.

Koreans didn't think they were descendants of Koguryo before. Wang Jian, the founder of Wang, said in his "Ten Commandments" that the foundation of his country "depends entirely on the protection of three mountains and rivers". It can be seen that he thinks he is a descendant of Sanhan, not Koguryo. In terms of cultural inheritance, Koreans from Wang to today have indeed inherited many things from Koguryo. However, Japan has also inherited a lot of China culture, so it cannot be said that the history of China is the history of Japan.

6. The reason why people mistakenly regard Wang as the heir of Koguryo is related to the historical records of our country. It should be said that before the Song Dynasty, the historical position of Koguryo in the history books was accurate. However, due to the separation of documents caused by the war and Wang's misleading, the records of historical books began to appear confusion and even obvious errors after the Song Dynasty, and Koguryo was once abbreviated as Koguryo.

The History of the Old Five Dynasties and the History of the New Five Dynasties first wrote Goguryeo (also known as Gao's Koryo) into Wang's Biography of Koryo, and the History of Song Dynasty was the initiator of this statement. The records of these three history books directly influenced the later history books. The history of the Ming dynasty has developed more than before. In order to give the Ming Dynasty the title of Li Chenggui and find a reasonable explanation for korean king, the book not only inherited the above mistakes, but also gave a complete and wrong account of the historical evolution of Lee's Korean regime: Korea, Weishi Korea, Han Fourth Army and Koguryo, which originally belonged to China's history, were all included in Korean history. As a result, not only was the title of "Korea" used by China's ancient frontier ethnic group falsely used by the Wang regime, the successor of Silla, which originated from Sanhan, but the Li Dynasty, as the successor of the Wang regime, further usurped the title of "Korea" created by the legacy of Shang Dynasty.

To sum up, it is precisely to restore and respect historical facts that Koguryo history belongs to China's national history and frontier history.
