Thoughts on Reading "Pinwa"

I spent a week watching the top/bottom of Pinwa, which touched the author's heart. This book has been bought for two years and has never been opened. I always thought it should be about how to sell baby and chicken baby. Because I have seen too many chicks, I feel nothing to see when I see the name of this book. I didn't remember to pick up this book until the books at home were almost finished recently. I couldn't put it down when I picked it up. Here are some things that impressed me:

1. The author is a typical scholar, and his grandparents and father are academicians, both of whom have made outstanding contributions to science in China. The educational inheritance of ancestors set an example and laid a good family atmosphere for future generations. As the old saying goes, they are not richer than three generations, but the emergence of their elite depends on the efforts of several generations. People with good family education have different starting points since childhood, and their horizons, contacts and knowledge are beyond the reach of ordinary families. Don't let the children lose at the starting line. In fact, this starting line is more about family.

2. The better people work harder, education is the only chance for civilians to change their destiny. The author's daughter and son are both excellent at the Olympic Games. In addition to the excellent genes in the family, we can also see the same 7-year-old children. They have about 20 extra-curricular classes a week, and study at least 7 hours a day during the summer vacation, and they still study actively. Why do many children have headaches when it comes to learning? A large part of the reason lies in early education. Spending a semester before primary school may be painful at first, but after a long time, it will become natural and you will fall in love with learning. Compared with playing, learning is bound to be mixed with pain, but the burden reduction of happy education will bring more problems. Kindergartens can walk slowly with snails. What about primary schools? Can this continue? Many sensitive periods are before the age of 7. If you miss reading literacy, you miss it. In addition to talent, my daughter's kindergarten also has Olympiad, Go and so on. Olympiad math is not what we call brushing questions, building blocks and practicing mathematical thinking. Maybe we can't copy Niu Wa's theory, but what we can learn from it is that no pains, no gains, and where time is spent, there are gains. Education now is completely different from when we were young.

3. After the expansion of university education in China, the proportion of college students has greatly increased. I feel that I am a generation that has benefited from the expansion of enrollment and changed my destiny through the college entrance examination. At present, the college entrance examination is still a fair examination for selecting talents. The author says that talent education can be set up for some very outstanding talents, such as those who won the college entrance examination, to avoid the outflow of outstanding talents in China, because the high housing prices and education policies in first-tier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai now make some people emigrate overseas just for their children to study abroad. Domestic universities can also learn from foreign study policies to attract foreign students and adopt a policy of "lenient entry and strict exit" from abroad. China's strict entry and lenient exit policy has led many students to make no progress in college and waste their best years.

As an ordinary person, I don't think we can control the environment, but what we can do is to educate our children to control themselves, don't waste time and study hard, so as to save the young and save the old.
