Do ordinary citizens of China need American citizenship if they want to go to the United States for military service?
In 2009, the United States introduced a new policy. Refugees, asylum seekers and other non-immigrant visa holders are expected to become American citizens for immediate military service and enjoy all free education and various benefits as long as they pass the written interview and background investigation.
Michael Garrett, the Brigadier General in charge of the recruitment work in Los Angeles, said that according to the needs of the modern and future global war on terrorism, the US military launched the "National Interest is Critical Recruitment" pilot program (MAVNI) this year to recruit people who know Chinese and Cantonese and have medical expertise. As long as you have these specialties, even asylum seekers or refugees can find employment.
