There are several schools of taekwondo.
WTF also has traditional schools. In South Korea, WTF Taekwondo is mainly divided into nine sects: Zhengdao Pavilion/Li Taoqing Pavilion/Yan Yunkui Zhidao Pavilion/Nathan Scott Lee Pavilion/Li Yongbian Zhangwu Pavilion/Jin Shunpei Jiangde Academy/Li Jinhong Wudao Pavilion/Xuan Hanwu Pavilion/Li Wude Pavilion/Hong Zhenzong. There are also technical differences among the sects.
Main organizations and schools of Taekwondo:
1.ITF taekwondo
ITF Taekwondo is the orthodox Taekwondo of the International Taekwondo Federation. It was founded by the founder of Taekwondo, General Cui Hongxi, in the mid-1960s. ITF is the abbreviation of International Taekwondo Federation. 1966 On March 22nd, General Cui Hongxi established the first international taekwondo organization in the world-the International Taekwondo Federation. The technical system of ITF Taekwondo is divided into basic movements and procedures (ter, commonly known as routines).
2.WTF taekwondo
WTF Taekwondo is the competitive Taekwondo of the World Taekwondo Federation. 1972, due to political reasons, General Cui Hongxi moved the headquarters of the International Taekwondo Federation to Toronto, Canada. 1973, the Korean government ordered the disciples of former General Cui to establish the World Taekwondo Federation, and at the same time thoroughly reformed the technical system established by General Cui to absorb karate technology. The technical system of WTF Taekwondo is divided into types (i.e. quality), duet, stunt and breakthrough. 1988 WTF Taekwondo made its debut at the Seoul Olympic Games, and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games officially became a competition.
3.WPF professional taekwondo

Chairman of the Alliance: Park Yongji 1993 12 has established branches in six countries, including Korea, the United States, Canada, Australia and Germany. , now it has spread all over the world 138 countries. World professional taekwondo is different from competitive taekwondo, and it is an inherent technology to spread, popularize and develop taekwondo in the world. Because of the professional requirements of the competition, the rules of the league competition are more open and do not wear conventional competitive protective gear.
4.GTF taekwondo
GTF Taekwondo is the taekwondo of the global Taekwondo Federation. From 65438 to 0990, Shi Xian, former secretary general of the International Taekwondo Federation, felt that Taekwondo should not be used politically, so he left the International Taekwondo Federation and went to Canada to set up a purely private world Taekwondo organization-the Global Taekwondo Federation. GTF Taekwondo technical system is born out of ITF Taekwondo technical system and retains a lot of ITF Taekwondo styles. In terms of procedures, in addition to retaining 24 TELs of ITF, Master Park Chung-tae created more than 65,438+02 new TELs himself.
5.ATA taekwondo
ATA Taekwondo is the Taekwondo of American Taekwondo Association. 1969 Haeung Lee, a Korean Taekwondo master, founded the organization in the United States. Haeng Ung Lee was an early apprentice of General Cui and later moved to the United States for development. ATA Taekwondo technical system is similar to the early ITF Taekwondo technical system, which maintains the traditional style in terms of procedures, that is, there is no ups and downs. It is also similar to the sparring technique of ITF Taekwondo. 1990, organized and initiated the establishment of the World Traditional Taekwondo Alliance-WTTU.
6.JTA taekwondo
JTA Taekwondo is the Japanese Taekwondo Association -JTA Taekwondo. In order to promote the harmonious communication with the World Taekwondo Federation, He Cong separated and established the Taekwondo Association. JTA completely copied the leg method of ITF, and so did the breathing method. JTA used the characteristics of karate for reference, paid more attention to the lethality of leg technique, and later perfected its own set. In the early days, Zhao Baji was invited to give technical guidance, and combined with the characteristics of Jizhen and ITF, he made an exclusive JTA uniform. After the organization changed its name, the Japanese Taekwondo Committee was established in 2006. There are three levels of JTA competition. The rules of lightweight (below 60kg), middleweight (60kg~70kg) and heavyweight (above 70kg) basically maintain the consistent style of Taekwondo. Don't kick the next leg, wear protective gear for both fists and feet, and allow all efforts to hit the head. Elbow, knee and joint skills other than hitting skills are not allowed. JTA ITF WTF players can participate, but fighters other than Taekwondo are not allowed to participate.

7.ITA taekwondo
ITA Taekwondo is an international Taekwondo Association -ITA Taekwondo. 1974 was founded in Britain by James S., a disciple of General Cui Hongxi. The technical system of ITA Taekwondo not only completely inherits the technical system of the early ITF, but also absorbs other martial arts technologies on the Korean Peninsula. In addition to the basic taekwondo fighting skills, it also includes equipment, such as fencing, long sticks, short sticks and steel forks.
8. Xuanguli Taekwondo
Xuanguli Taekwondo is Li Junjiu Taekwondo. Li Junjiu is the father of American Taekwondo. In his early years, he studied Taekwondo with General Cui Hongxi, immigrated to the United States in 1959, and began to spread Taekwondo in the North American continent. 196 1 year, during his study in the United States, General Cui Hongxi personally guided Li Junjiu's Taekwondo skills and established the technical system of Taekwondo. In the late 1970s, Master Li Junjiu left ITF and founded the Li Junxi Taekwondo Organization in the United States. The technical system of Taekwondo he spread maintained the technical style of early ITF Taekwondo. Old but full of energy.
Ali studied Taekwondo with him.
9.WTA taekwondo
WTA Taekwondo, the original taekwondo alliance of the World Taekwondo Federation-WTA Taekwondo, was founded in the United States by Nancy Shi Sheng, former vice president of ITF, president of Asian International Taekwondo Federation and father of Vietnamese Taekwondo. The technical system combines ITF taekwondo and GTF taekwondo.
The late Master Nam Tae Hee Sheng (who was also a master) said that itf came from North Korea and was founded in South Korea. Later, due to some factors, Master San Cui Hongxi was dissatisfied with the Korean government, and the Korean government established WTF! ! ! ! Many teachers who didn't follow Cui Hongxi joined WTF. Cui Hongxi was later supported in North Korea, but continued to develop Taekwondo in North Korea. Until his death, ITF split into three organizations, namely the Zhang Xiong organization designated by Cui Hongxi (the original organization of Cui Hongxi, and Zhang Xiong was an important member of the Korean Olympic Committee), which was established separately because of dissatisfaction with North Korea and socialism. The other school, mainly Chen Tianquan's teacher, was returned by Cui Zonghua, the son of General Cui Hongxi.
In other words, itf is the most primitive Taekwondo, but it changed the routine of Taekwondo into undulating in the 1980s. If you want to see the original Taekwondo, I suggest you see Jhoon Rhee's Taekwondo Attacks Kyushu. Jhoon Rhee also quit ITF in 1970s.
Other organizations have little influence on China, especially national or local organizations. If so, it should also include the Chinese Taekwondo Association, which is CTA. ITF is the earliest Taekwondo organization that entered China, but due to political reasons, it is not as popular as WTF and has been in an awkward position. However, it has developed very well in some areas, and the most famous ITF star in China should be Ji Lei. When it comes to ITF, people usually think of his enlightenment hall.
