Before setting up in a place, one must first examine the local grass conditions, water resources, etc. Herdsmen generally abide by the laws of nature and will not wait until all the surrounding grass is eaten before migrating. This is for the circulation of the pasture and for their own safety. The cattle and sheep have just turned around. Of course, there are other reasons, and factors that were not taken into account will also change the situation, such as unexpected avalanches, wolf attacks, tornadoes, etc.

The top of the Tianshan Mountains is covered with snow all year round. In summer, 80% of the water on the pastures is supplied by melted snow water. In winter,

the pastures are completely covered with snow, some of which are thick. When the depth reaches one to two meters, herdsmen usually choose places with weak wind and snow, and prepare hay for the winter in summer and autumn.
