Where is Zhou Pei?

Zhou Pei should refer to Pei County under the jurisdiction of Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Pei County is located in the northwest of Xuzhou, at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong, with Weishan Lake in the east, Fengxian County in the west, the southeast edge of North China Plain and the northwest of Huaihai Economic Zone.

Pei County is a lakeside green city, less than five kilometers away from the largest freshwater lake and Weishan Lake in the north of China, and has a coastline of 62 kilometers. Peixian county has a long history and rich resources, and is the main producing area of coal in Jiangsu Province and East China.

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Pei County belonged to the Song State. In 286 BC, the State of Qi destroyed the State of Song, and Pei County was temporarily returned to the State of Qi.

After Qin destroyed the Six Kingdoms, Pei County was established, which belonged to Surabaya County. After the establishment of the Western Han Dynasty, Pei County belonged to the State of Chu. In the eleventh year of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Liu Bi was appointed as Pei Hou, directly under the central government.

In the first year of Lv Hou, Lu Zhong was named Pei Hou, directly under the central government. Later, in seven years, Liu Zhong was named Hou. Later, Lv Hou died and Pei County returned to Chu.

During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Cao, the founder of Cao Wei, was a native of Qiao County in the west of Guo Pei. He divided most of Guo Pei into overseas Chinese counties for correspondence, and the scope of Guo Pei was greatly reduced, and the abandoned country was changed to Pei County. Later, the administrative office was changed from Xiang County to Pei County.
