Responsibilities of Chongqing Immigration Bureau

(a) to implement the laws, regulations, rules and policies of the Three Gorges resettlement and reservoir resettlement, draft local regulations and rules for resettlement, study and put forward policy suggestions for the follow-up work of the Three Gorges Project in Chongqing reservoir area, and comprehensively coordinate and solve major problems in resettlement work.

(two) responsible for the planning and implementation of the follow-up work of the Three Gorges Project in Chongqing reservoir area.

(3) To be responsible for the relocation and resettlement of migrants in the Chongqing reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project, prepare the implementation plan for resettlement, review the annual plan and project investment plan for migrants in counties (autonomous counties), review and supervise the use plan of the project, arrange and manage the funds and materials for migrants, and deal with the problems left over from the resettlement plan; Organize and coordinate immigration, counterpart support and economic cooperation; Review the annual plan for the protection and relocation of cultural relics in the Chongqing reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project, and undertake the management of environmental protection and high-cut slope management funds arranged in the resettlement budget.

(four) responsible for the Three Gorges Project in Chongqing reservoir resettlement development support, planning and implementation, use and management of the Three Gorges reservoir fund, audit and supervision of major support and development projects.

(five) responsible for the comprehensive management of Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir.

(six) responsible for the management and supervision of large and medium-sized hydropower projects such as Pengshui, Yinpan, Xiaonanhai and Zhuyangxi.

(seven) responsible for the petition work in the Chongqing reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project, and assisting the counties (autonomous counties) in the reservoir area to do a good job in the resettlement stability.

(eight) responsible for the Three Gorges Project in Chongqing reservoir resettlement publicity, organization and coordination of external publicity, news release and major publicity activities.

(nine) responsible for the employment training of immigrants in Chongqing reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project.

(ten) responsible for the supervision and inspection of the use of resettlement funds in Chongqing reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project and the economic responsibility audit of the main leading cadres of resettlement institutions in counties (autonomous counties), and jointly with relevant departments to supervise and inspect the quality of resettlement projects.

(eleven) to undertake other tasks assigned by the municipal government.
