Border Resident Certificate refers to an identity document required for entry and exit management of residents in border areas, which can facilitate residents’ life and work in border areas. As one of the provinces with the longest border in China, Yunnan Province also has many border residents who need to apply for border resident certificates. According to the "Measures for the Administration of Border Resident Permits", the following are the conditions for applying for Yunnan Border Resident Permits:
1. Chinese citizens living in border areas must be over 16 years old and have the need for a stable life and work.
2. Foreigners living in border areas must be over 16 years old and need stable residence and work.
3. Compatriots from Taiwan and Macao and Hong Kong Special Administrative Regions who have legal and stable living and working conditions and are over 16 years old.
4. Foreign Chinese with legal and stable residence and working conditions, aged 16 or above.
