Maobei Rutile Mine in Donghai County ()

Maobei Rutile Mine is located in the southwest of Donghai County 15km, from Maobei to Ma Jiang, xinyi city. The mining area is located 7 kilometers north of Longhai Railway, and the traffic is very convenient.

Rutile primary minerals occur in eclogite in biotite plagioclase gneiss belt of Archean Yudonghai Group. There are 10 ore bodies in the mining area, most of which are layered and lenticular, including 8 main ore bodies with a length of 600-2640m. The ore minerals are rutile and ilmenite, and the gangue minerals are garnet and omphacite. The industrial ore contains rutile TiO22. 13%, garnet 40% and omphacite 20%. Good ore washability. The genetic type of the deposit belongs to magmatic metamorphic deposit.

During the period of 1958- 1960, Xuzhou conducted a general survey and evaluation of muscovite and other minerals in Donghai county in the first geological team of the Geological Bureau. The existence of residual rutile placer was first mentioned in the general survey and evaluation report of muscovite mine in Donghai County. Since then, the prelude to the general survey of rutile deposits in northern Jiangsu has been opened.

During the period of 1960, the internship team of Geology Department of Nanjing University discovered residual rutile placer in Land Rover, Donghai County.

1960- 1962, the second detachment of the first geological brigade of Jiangsu Geological Bureau conducted a general survey and exploration of rutile placer in Donghai-Xinyi area, and found that the content of primary rutile in eclogite in some areas was high, reaching 2%-5%. Six summaries or reports on rutile ore have been submitted successively. In the Summary of Rutile Work in the East of Xuzhou Special Economic Zone submitted by 196 1, it is proposed for the first time that "eclogite and rutile have an inseparable mother-child relationship".

1963 ——1966, Ni Ruxun, Zhu, Lai Kaiquan and others, the fifth geological brigade of Jiangsu Geological Bureau (formed by the merger of the geological team of Xuzhou Geological Bureau), carried out geological investigation, detailed investigation and preliminary exploration test on rutile placer in the mining area, and carried out beneficiation tests on residual slope placer and eclogite weathering crust ore. The year-end geological report of detailed investigation of rutile placer in Land Rover mining area of Donghai County, Jiangsu Province and the preliminary exploration test report of rutile placer in Land Rover mining area were submitted. The report discusses in detail the distribution, occurrence and grade of residual placer and eclogite weathering crust ore distributed at the top of primary rutile deposit in Ma Jiang, and calculates that the prospective reserve of weathered crust rutile ore is 6,476 tons, which provides important clues for the discovery of primary rutile ore.

During the period of 1987, Cheng, Pu and Pan Nanda of the Mineral Development and Application Laboratory of the Institute of Geology, Jiangsu Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources conducted a feasibility study on the comprehensive development and utilization of eclogite in Ma Jiang, Ahu Township, xinyi city. The research report was submitted in March 1988. The ore-bearing property of eclogite in Ma Jiang is evaluated, and four rutile ore bodies are preliminarily delineated, and the prospective reserves of shallow ore are calculated to be 7.35 million tons, including 6.5438+500 million tons of rutile, 4.04 million tons of garnet and 6.5438+830 million tons of omphacite. The central laboratory of Jiangsu Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources was entrusted to complete the mineral processing exploration test, and the washability of rutile, garnet and omphacite minerals in the ore body was initially determined. Through this work, it is confirmed that various minerals in eclogite can be comprehensively utilized after beneficiation, which provides a basis for the general survey of rutile primary ore.

In June1988165438+10, Gao Deyou, the sixth geological brigade of Jiangsu Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, and others put forward the proposal of "detailed investigation of rutile primary ore in Land Rover Lake in the East China Sea", pointing out that the most promising area of primary ore is in Changshan Mountain north of Maobei-Jiangzhuang. This proposal was included in the 1989 geological prospecting plan project by the Provincial Bureau of Geology and Minerals, and was handed over to the Sixth Geological Team. March, 1989, Xia (project leader), Liu Jian, etc. The general survey and evaluation of rutile ore in Maobei-Ma Jiang lasted two years and four months. * * * Geological mapping1:2000 was completed, with an area of 5.36 square kilometers, exploratory trench 12730 cubic meters and shallow well 2 19 meters, and the drilling workload was 6895 meters. On June 5438+099 1 and 10, the geological report of the general survey of the rutile mine in Maobei-xinyi city, Donghai County, Jiangsu Province was submitted. It is preliminarily found that the rutile deposit in Maobei is a super-large primary rutile deposit with an ore reserve of168.39 million tons, of which the available reserve is118.92 million tons, and the rutile titanium dioxide reserve is 3120,000 tons, of which the available reserve is 2.53 million tons. It is estimated that the prospective reserves of garnet and omphacite are 47.57 million tons and 237.92 million tons respectively.

After a brief technical and economic evaluation, the external construction conditions of the deposit are good, the open-pit mining and mineral processing technology are feasible, and it has good economic utilization value, which can be further investigated, explored and developed.
