The Historical Evolution of Dong Tang Village
1960 After the Spring Festival, the villagers who moved to Pu Jun, Qiaoguang and Gaocuopu moved back one after another. In summer, nearly 200 villagers returned to Xikeng. At that time, there was no housing, and villagers' bedding was scattered all over Shan Ye. Fortunately, there are warehouses and cowsheds that were originally built, so that the villagers who came first can settle down the women, children and the elderly. There are seven or eight households in each household, with one bed for large households and one bed for small households. Men and villagers who arrived later slept on the hillside, and the weather would be covered to make beds. In order to shelter from the wind and rain, first build a straw shed temporarily, then collect old tiles and old wood to build a shack by yourself, and then plan and build a house in two or three years. After several moves and efforts, I have a place to live.
At the beginning of reunification, some villagers moved to Nankeng (the back of Tianrao, their hometown), and five of them moved to Lingmen Village, because the Xiswindlers were too crowded. Some villagers settled directly in Dakeng and Caotang North as soon as they came back, and some villagers who went to Dakeng later went to Shangkeng and Neikeng to live.
1964, in order to rationally arrange villages, facilitate villagers' labor production nearby, and reduce the pressure of overcrowding in Xilie Democratic Village, labor was transferred from Xikeng to build a new residential area in Tongjinpen, named Dong Tang Village, and villagers voluntarily declared their residence. 1964, some villagers left Xikeng to live in Dong Tang. Juhao, who lives in Dong Tang Village, has two families, namely Sun Jiefa and Jing Qing, male residents of Shutianlou and the top floor, Sun Shuzhi, male resident of Zhenjiang Building, and Sun Luchun, a simple male resident of Ruyi Building.
