How to test CGFNS?

Introduction to CGFNS

According to the United States. Article 343 of the Non-immigrant Reform and Immigration Responsibility Act (IIRIRA) stipulates that all foreign nurses who enter the United States to engage in nursing work, whether applying for a non-immigrant visa or a professional immigrant status, must first pass the so-called "American Nurse Qualification Examination" and obtain the "CGFNS Certificate" issued by CGFNS institutions in order to meet the requirements of the US Immigration Service.

The US Immigration Service regards this CGFNS certificate as the only criterion for foreign nurses to apply for a non-immigrant work visa or permanent residence, and this requirement has been written into the US immigration law. At the same time, the nursing bureaus in most states (more than 8% states) in the United States require nurses who have received nursing education outside the United States to obtain the "Nurse Qualification Certificate" issued by CGFNS as a prerequisite for taking the NCLEX-RN.

The CGFNS test in the United States, like the TOEFL test, is the national authoritative test item in the United States and the only advanced nurse practitioner test item in the world at present. If you get the certificate, you will get the internationally recognized first-class nurse practitioner qualification.

1. CGFNS organization

CGFNS is the abbreviation of Commission on Grades of Foreign Nursing Schools, which is an independent and private non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Mainly sponsored by American Nursing Association (ANA) and National League of Nursing (NLN). Founded in 1977, it has 4 examination centers in 29 countries around the world and the United States, including China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province. At present, the Chinese mainland Examination Center is under intense preparation.

2. CGFNS Certificate Scheme

Step 1: Obtain the registration brochure and registration form, and send personal registration materials (including high school diploma, certificate of nursing school and certificate of nurse registration) as required for registration. CGFNS evaluates your information to determine whether you are qualified to take the exam.

step 2: register for the TOEFL test (you can also take the TOEFL test before or after taking the CGFNS test. The TOEFL test content should include TWE option).

Step 3: CGFNS will inform you whether you are qualified to take the CGFNS exam. Issue admission tickets to those who are qualified.

3. CGFNS exam content

The nursing knowledge exam of CGFNS is based on what nurses must know and should do when they are engaged in nursing work in the United States. Therefore, candidates must understand American nursing knowledge and clinical fields, as well as American nursing culture and nursing system.

4. CGFNS exam structure

The topics of CGFNS nursing exam are all four-choice multiple-choice questions in English, and there are 26 questions in * * *, which are divided into two parts. * * * takes one day for 4 hours and 2 minutes. After the first part of the exam, take a lunch break for 1 hour, and then take the second part. The time allocation for examination questions is roughly one minute to complete a question. 5. CGFNS test results

If the candidates pass the CGFNS nursing exam and pass the TOEFL exam with a score of 54 or above within 2 years, they will soon receive the American nurse qualification certificate issued by CGFNS. The certificate is valid indefinitely. If a candidate passes the CGFNS nursing exam, but the TOEFL score is unqualified or has not yet passed the exam, he must pass the TOEFL exam within 2 years to obtain the CGFNS certificate. If you fail to pass the TOEFL exam within 2 years, candidates must take the CGFNS nursing exam again and start all over again.

6. Examination date

The p>CGFNS examination is held three times a year in March, July and November. All the test centers in the world hold exams on the same day. The deadline for registration of CGFNS exam is 3 months before the exam.

7. The role of CGFNS certificate

CGFNS certificate has been recognized by English-speaking countries, which is equivalent to "United Nations passport".
