What are the characteristics of Taiwan Province people's speech?
Taiwanese is mixed in Zhang Quan in the north, Puqiang in the south-central plain and in the south-central coastal areas.
Taiwanese (Taiwanese Pinyin: t? I-you? N-uē, vernacular word: t? i-o? N-oē, Minnan Pinyin: Dáiwán wê), also known as Taiwanese or Taiwanese Minnan, is used to refer to Minnan dialect used in Taiwan Province Province of China, which belongs to Zhang Quan dialect in linguistic classification and is very close to Xiamen dialect, with an estimated homology ratio of 99%.
Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially after the opening of the sea ban, a large number of mainland immigrants have entered Taiwan Province Province, most of them are Heluo people in Zhangzhou and Quanzhou in southern Fujian. The language they brought replaced the language of Taiwan Province aborigines, became the dominant language in Taiwan Province Province, and gradually evolved into a language different from the native language. During the Japanese occupation period, it was called "Taiwan Province people, Taiwan Province people and Taiwan Province people" to distinguish other languages.
Although Japanese and Mandarin successively replaced the status of lingua franca during the Japanese occupation period and after the government moved to Taiwan, Taiwanese is still the largest mother tongue and the most widely used language in Taiwan Province Province.
According to the 2009 Taiwan Province Yearbook, about 73% of people in Taiwan Province Province speak Taiwanese. Zhangzhou immigrants mainly live in the central plain, northern coastal areas and Yanglan plain, so it is called Neipu cavity. Quanzhou immigrants mainly live in the central coast and Taipei basin, known as Haikou, and the southern part is a mixed area of Quanzhou and Zhangzhou. Therefore, the statement that "Quanzhou people live in the seashore and Zhangzhou people live in the inland plain" only conforms to this distribution in the central part of Taiwan Province Province.
