Zhuangbian Town has a subtropical maritime monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, with annual average temperature 16- 19℃, annual average sunshine hours 1600 hours, annual rainfall 1560- 1600mm and annual average relative humidity of 76%. The cultivated land area of Zhuangbian Town 1 1 15 hectares, and the mountainous area 1467 1 hectare. The terrain is two mountains and two streams (Wangjiangshan, Bai Yushan, Jihuanxi and Zhuangbianxi), with an altitude of120-1083m. Wangjiang Mountain (1083m) and Bai Yushan (968m) are extensions of Wangjiang Mountain, a branch of Daiyun Mountain, and are the highest peaks in Putian County. There are four kinds of soils in China: red soil, yellow soil, purple soil and paddy soil.

Zhuangbian Town is an important forest area and one of the main producing areas of wildlife in Hanjiang District. Forestry hinterland 1 1922 hectares, forest area of 97 18 hectares, forest coverage rate of 77.7%, and per capita forest area of 0.34 hectares (5. 15 mu). The forest stock is 20567 1 m3, and the per capita stock is 7.26 m3. Rich bamboo and wood resources provide an important material and economic foundation for Zhuangbian Town to develop bamboo industry and even ecological agriculture.
