Definition of Wushu
1978, the second edition of Wushu textbook was officially published, redefining Wushu: Wushu is one of the (traditional) sports events in China, which is based on fighting actions such as kicking, hitting, throwing, taking, hitting and stabbing, and is a drill of unarmed fighting or equipment routines according to the law of dynamic and static, offensive and defensive, rigid and flexible, and virtual and real mutual transformation.
During the period of 1988, China Wushu Research Institute once defined Wushu as a traditional sport in China, which was taught both internally and externally.
On July 9 ~ 1 1, 2009, the Wushu Management Center of the State Sports General Administration held a seminar on the definition and etiquette of Wushu in Dengfeng, Henan, the birthplace of Shaolin Wushu.
