Northern immigrants

The south was sparsely populated at first, but later immigrants from the north increased the local population. And there are always struggles for various reasons, but more is integration. Immigrants from the north brought advanced technology and culture. In the past, because of lack of civilization, officials were demoted when they were transferred to the south, and many officials who left their names in the history of the Qing Dynasty contributed to the education there. The same is true of immigrants from the north. Of course, immigrants from the north also learn local farming methods and production experience from indigenous people, many of which are integrated into the cultural customs we see now, such as language and sacrifice.
