Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919) was born in Scotland, a Scottish-American industrialist and philanthropist, and the founder of the Carnegie Steel Company. He is known as " The Steel King" is known as the "Father of American Philanthropy".

Carnegie co-founded the Carnegie-Coleman Union Steel Works in 1865; established the Carnegie Brothers Company with his brother Tom in 1881; and established the Carnegie Steel Company in 1892.
