What lakes and rivers are there in Huining?

Huining County, which belongs to Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the middle of Gansu Province and at the southern end of Baiyin City.

The main rivers in Huining County are Zuli River, Hulu River and Qingshui River.

Zuli River, a tributary of the upper Yellow River. Located in the middle of Gansu Province, China, east of Lanzhou City. Originated in Jialing, Nanhua, Huining County, it flows northward into the Yellow River through Huining County and Jingyuan County. Because the strata in the basin contain more salt and alkali, and the water tastes bitter and salty, it is also called bitter river. This river has a high sediment concentration.

Hulu River is a major tributary of Weihe River, which was called Wating Water and Dragon Water in ancient times. Because the riverbed is narrow and tortuous, it looks like a gourd. Originating at the southern foot of Moon Mountain at the junction of Xiji County and Haiyuan County in Ningxia, it flows southward through Xiji, Jingning and Qin 'an, and joins Weihe River in Sanyangchuan, Tianshui, which is the largest tributary of Weihe River.
