Township culture in Zhongyuan township

Zhongyuan Township is one of the 72 blessed places of Taoism in Tang Dynasty, and it is the location of Wanping Kiln in Yajishan, the top ten folk kilns in Song Dynasty. With a strong style of study and rich cultural background, a group of famous scholars, represented by Jin Menggeng, Zhong and Hu Rixin, have been recorded in Jing 'an County Records, which will last forever. This precious cultural tradition has been preserved and carried forward, and many new lovers of poetry, painting and calligraphy talents have emerged. Zhongyuan Calligraphy and Painting Association, founded in 1998, now has more than 100 members, and carries out concentrated creative activities of calligraphy and painting more than once a year. Founded in 2003, the Central Plains Education Poetry Club has more than 60 members, and has edited and published the collection of poems "Nine Shilin Miao" and two books of poems, and campus activities are in full swing. The Central Plains bamboo carving crafts, which are a collection of poems, books, paintings, seals and engravings, are sold at home and abroad and are favored by merchants. They were selected as gifts from Jiangxi Province to the World Women's Conference and won many awards at the World Expo. 1999, Zhongyuan Township was named "the hometown of farmers' calligraphy and painting" by the Provincial Department of Culture.

The central plains has always been simple and honest. There are Hakkas living in Qiujia, Wan Chuan and other places, and there are some Hunan immigrants in the territory. Yunyang Temple was once built in Yunyang, Dongxia Village, and its incense was flourishing (the four characters "Deep in the White Clouds" in cliff stone carvings are said to be written by Taoist priests in the temple with their fingers). The villagers believe in traditional etiquette, advocate being kind to others, and the people have a strong hospitality spirit. Party committees and governments in towns and villages have carried out in-depth activities of "public evaluation of citizens' morality" and "civilized and trustworthy users", which have made morality valuable, honesty and law-abiding deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and further strengthened the villagers' ideological and moral concepts and awareness of handling affairs according to law.

Zhongyuan mortar

Zhongyuan Ice Mortar is located in Zhongyuan Township, Jing 'an County. There are more than 500 "Ice Mortars" on an ancient river that stretches for 5 kilometers. Such a large number and scale of "glacier molars" are really rare. After comparing the relevant data, the local authorities believe that the "ice mortar" conforms to the characteristics of the ice mortar recorded in the data, and it is speculated that it is a relic of glacier movement two or three million years ago.

The "Ice Mortar Group" is located in a small valley surrounded by mountains in Gangkou Village, Zhongyuan Township. According to the investigators, from the scene, most of the "ice mortar" is characterized by a small mouth and a large bottom, and the plane of the mortar body is generally round, oval, spoon-shaped and irregular semicircle. The maximum diameter of the mortar is nearly 3m, and the minimum diameter exceeds10cm. The flat and spacious bedrock ice bed has been worn away.

Local villagers call these stone mortars distributed on the river bed "stone nests". There has always been a saying about Shiwo Waterfalls. It is said that it can only be found in the dry season. Because of the construction of power station in the upper reaches, large granite blocks are exposed in the river, so people can see such a strange, magnificent and more concentrated "stone nest" group.
