What is immigration supervision?

What is an "immigration supervisor"

Usually the immigration supervision we hear is just a metaphor. The restrictions on the residence time of immigrant applicants in immigrant countries are called "immigration supervision". In other words, it is the time that the applicant needs to live in the immigrant country in order to retain his immigration status (PR or green card).

Generally speaking, after getting the status, there are two situations that will face the problem of "immigration supervision":

The first one: I want to keep my permanent residence status.

Most countries have clear regulations on the annual residence time of new immigrants. If the residence requirements cannot be met, the right of abode will not be renewed after the expiration, which is equivalent to canceling the immigration status.

The second type: want to obtain the nationality of the immigrant country.

After obtaining permanent residence status, if you want to further acquire nationality and become a citizen of an immigrant country, you need to meet the living conditions. However, some countries get their passports in one step and do not require naturalization to become "immigration supervisors".
