Baishan Township mainly has four machine brick factories, 1 wood processing factory and two plastic products factories, with an annual output value of 20 million yuan and profits and taxes of 3 million yuan.

Agriculture mainly grows corn. Corn planting area accounts for about 75% of cultivated land area. Corn varieties are constantly updated, and more than 60 varieties with low temperature tolerance, disease resistance, high oil content, high starch content, high protein content, medium maturity and late maturity are adopted. Scientific planting management methods such as soil testing and formula fertilization, furrow topdressing and drug seed dressing, chemical weeding, insect prevention and biological insect prevention were adopted, and the yield per hectare was above 20 thousand kilograms.

Horticultural characteristic industries are mainly greenhouse vegetables. In 2002, two shed film communities were established in Dongbaishan village. Now, 20 greenhouses 120 have been built, covering an area of 72,000 square meters, with an annual output of out-of-season vegetables 1000 tons, which are sold to neighboring provincial capitals and large and medium-sized cities.

Animal husbandry production has become a new pillar industry for farmers in this township. Pig production has developed rapidly. In 2005, 654.38 million pigs were slaughtered, and at the end of the year, there were 57,000 cows, sheep and poultry, which were 10, 50,000 and 490,000 respectively. The proportion of animal husbandry income to farmers' income exceeded 50% for the first time.
