Being close to the Three Gorges and having the honor to sing the Three Gorges is the pride of my life.

Being in the hot land of the Three Gorges, I not only participated in the construction of the Three Gorges Project, but also tracked millions of immigrants in the reservoir area. With the blessing of 14 people, the Three Gorges Project, which has attracted worldwide attention, has successfully achieved three major goals: the initial storage of the reservoir, the trial navigation of the lock and the power generation of the first batch of units on the left bank.

On June 1 day, 2003, the Three Gorges Dam was impounded. Half a month later, the narrow reservoir in Chongqing, nearly 600 kilometers below the dam, became "Gaoxia Pinghu", and the water level rose to 135 meters above sea level.

As the reservoir rose, so did the sea water. During this period, I was lucky enough to visit the Three Gorges reach by boat as a reporter, experienced the drowning process on the bank of the reservoir and felt the irreversible changes of the river "lake" in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.

In September 2006, the water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir rose from135m to156m.

The Three Gorges Project officially started at the end of 1994, and 16 years passed quickly. Sediment is deposited in the "Pinghu" upstream of the dam, and the whole reservoir area presents a gratifying scene of beautiful mountains and rivers. Below 156 water level, many dilapidated and low-rise old cities along the Yangtze River 10 were demolished long before the flood rose and disappeared from people's sight. Instead, there are more than 10 brand-new modern towns full of vigor and vitality.

16 years, the Three Gorges Project turned from a dream into a reality, and thousands of builders successfully built a unique reinforced concrete dam on the ancient Xiajiang River with Baozhong Island as the axis.

Material dam has become a miracle of the world. On Tanziling, the commanding height of the dam area, Chinese and foreign tourists weave every day.

Magnificent dam, condensed into a sea of data. In the linear construction schedule of the Ministry of Construction, fresh colors are painted every day.

As a scenic dam, it is collected and "stolen" home by people with lenses every day.

As a dam of the project, it grows sturdily day by day with the hard work and sweat of the builders!

In the past, people had only one choice to visit the Three Gorges Dam: to see the macro scene and climb Tanziling, the commanding height of the dam area; Look at the close-up and go to 185 to see the platform.

It's different now: you can go to Tanziling on the left bank, get on the platform 185, and detour along the upper lock head of the double-line five-level lock to the breakwater of the upstream approach channel to enjoy the majestic appearance of the dam facing the water; You can also bypass the Xiling Yangtze River Bridge, visit the upper and lower reaches of the right bank, and have an overview of the well-defined steel aesthetic modeling. At that time, you will sincerely sigh the infinite wisdom of design masters and builders.

When you climb Tanziling, you are condescending. Before you look around, you have to have a big mind and command the general's spirit, otherwise you will be dizzy or short of breath and chest tightness. Because the Three Gorges Project is a rigid masterpiece of science and technology, a symphonic epic with the surging Yangtze River as its strings, and a chorus that condenses the national spirit and promotes the economic development of China!

When you step onto the platform of 185, you will immediately realize the huge gas field of the "crowd" formed by the trio, and truly realize the greatness of each person and the smallness of the individual. At this moment, the height at which you stand is the height of the dam, and you are the dam. How can you be indifferent?

The crazy dragon rushed to the river.

At the downstream of the dam, we can only look up from a distance. Whether in the main flood season or the dry season of the Yangtze River, the golden or silver tidal bore was originally roaring, but now it is intercepted by the concrete gravity dam. It wants to go west into the sea, and only the artificial diversion bottom hole and the narrow tunnel with sluice can pass through, so it holds its strength and struggles to drill into the hole. If it is at sunrise or sunset, the end of this charge will form a wonderful landscape of the Three Gorges Project-"Longben River"! Several or dozens of columnar "golden dragons" or "silver dragons" are flying in the air, forming a parabolic giant waterfall at a height of tens of meters downstream of the dam center. Sunlight forms a huge rainbow in the waterfall area. When tourists come here, who doesn't deeply feel the spectacular scene and the great shock of the soul? !

When you are in a double-track five-level ship lock, whether you are strolling upstream or downstream, or taking a boat up and down, the high slope formed after excavating the "W"-shaped double-track deep groove will definitely make you dumbfounded, appreciate the charm of science and technology, and feel what is "arduous" and "magical": a huge ship lock shaped like a ladder, with five consecutive double-track overlapping, can be called a wonder of the world under Tanziling. People are in the boat and the boat is in the door. The magical state of "a rising tide lifts the boat, and water falls on the boat" is stable and unconscious, which makes tourists feast their eyes and be full of interest!

If you are lucky enough to step into the lobby of the power plant, dazzling pearls will also make you pleasing to the eye. In the spacious halls of the power stations on the left and right banks, the 14 and12.7 million kilowatt hydro-generator sets are lined up in the center like soldiers, as if waiting for your inspection. When you face the Three Gorges Power Plant, the largest hydropower station in the world, can you be proud of the huge energy generated by 26 or even 6 underground power stations in the future? !

The three-dimensional figure of reinforced concrete is hidden in the clouds, and a silver dragon in Wanyan lies across the Xiajiang River, which may take off at any time.

A bird's eye view of the Three Gorges Project from a helicopter can only be a glimpse. Even if you hover in the air, you can only take a dynamic shot in a group of eyes. If it is possible for you to climb the solar package on the roof of Huangniuyan downstream of the dam by car, it is an excellent place to have a panoramic view of the Three Gorges Project. It is definitely a good choice to enjoy beautiful mountains and rivers and magnificent dams at the top of the mountain above 1000 meters above sea level.
