Three outstanding American sinologists

Frederick wakeman (193765438+February 200612-September 14), an American sinologist and historian, was once a professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He was the president of American Historical Society and Social Science Research Society, the president of American Council for International Studies, the president of China Research Joint Committee and the president of American Academic Society Council.

Shi Jingqian (1August 936 1 1-), also known as Jonathan Spencer, is a historian and a famous expert in China history. He is a famous contemporary American expert on China history, and he is good at studying the history of Ming and Qing Dynasties. From 2004 to 2005, he served as the president of the American Historical Society and enjoyed a high reputation in western sinology.

Kong Feili (1September 9-February, 933 1 1, 06) was born in London, England. 1950, graduated from Woodraw Wilson High School in Washington, DC, USA, and was admitted to Harvard University in the same year. A famous American sinologist, professor of history department of Harvard University, and director of the East Asian Civilization and Language Department, he is famous for studying the social and political history of China since the late Qing Dynasty. Since the mid-1970s, Kong Feili began to study the history of overseas Chinese immigrants. He used to be the director of the Fei Zhengqing Research Center of Harvard University and the head of the Far East Language and Culture Department of the University of Chicago.
