Hainan International Studies University is two universities.

Hainan Foreign Languages Vocational College is located in Wenchang, the first coastal satellite launching base in China. Established in 1947. It is a public full-time foreign language vocational college approved by Hainan provincial government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It is also the university with the largest number of foreign languages and the largest number of foreign language majors in Hainan Province.

20 12 became the second university in the province, and 20 18 became a provincial-level high-quality vocational college approved by the Education Department of Hainan Province.
