In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Sichuan experienced more than 30 years of war, the countryside was desolate and devastated, and the population was greatly reduced. According to historical records, there were only 90 thousand people left in Sichuan at that time. There are tigers and leopards in and out of Fucheng county during the day. The Qing court had no choice but to send troops to destroy wild dogs, and there was a rare war between men and dogs in history. In order to develop agricultural production and solve the tax needs, the Qing government immigrated from Huguang to Sichuan. At that time, the Zhao brothers in Macheng, Hubei moved to Jintang to work in Samsung and farming. His great-grandson Zhao Wenxiu built a boat and volunteered to ferry for the people. According to legend, eight generations of Zhao family crossed the river for free, so the ferry was named Zhaojiadu. During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, a local town was gradually formed, named Zhaozhen because of Zhaojiadu.
