If one child is a Canadian citizen, can the other child apply for naturalization?

According to the Canadian Citizenship Act, persons applying for naturalization must meet the following qualifications:

(1) Must be a legal permanent resident of Canada.

(2) Children aged 18 or above and children under 18 must apply on their behalf.

(3) Have resided in Canada for three years within the four years before application. The calculation method is: before becoming a permanent resident of Canada, if you have already lived in Canada (such as a person holding a student or work visa), your stay is calculated as one and a half days, but it can only be counted for up to one year. After becoming a permanent resident, , one day counts as one day spent in Canada. In other words, within the four years before applying, the applicant must have lived in Canada for three years, of which at least two years have been with immigration status.

(4) Have sufficient conversational skills in English or French, and be able to read and write simple Chinese.

(5) Understand the rights and responsibilities of Canadian citizens, and be familiar with Canada’s political system, historical background and geographical conditions.

Children under the age of 18 must apply for naturalization on their behalf by their parents. They do not need to have lived in Canada for three years, but they must have become permanent residents of Canada. At the time of application, one of their parents is already a Canadian citizen or is living with his or her parents. Apply for naturalization at the same time.
