The National English Test for Professional and Technical Personnel is a national foreign language test organized and implemented by the Ministry of Personnel. According to the application characteristics of English in different professional fields and the actual situation of professional and technical personnel mastering and using English, different requirements are put forward for the English level of candidates for professional and technical posts at different levels. Anyone who is employed as a corresponding professional and technical post according to the provisions of the corresponding professional and technical post shall register for the foreign language proficiency test of the corresponding language and level in accordance with the scope stipulated in the Notice on the Unified Examination of Foreign Language Grades for Professional and Technical Personnel, and the examination shall be conducted in the form of a unified outline and a closed-book written test. National English Test (PETS) is a social English test designed by the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education.
