(1) The land used for residential construction of rural villagers must comply with village and town planning and overall land use planning. In principle, new residential buildings for rural villagers should be concentrated in new village settlements and shall not occupy basic farmland.

(2) Rural villagers with registered rural household registration who do not have a house or whose housing is crowded can apply for homestead land.

(3) Each rural villager can only own one homestead.

(4) Rural villagers’ homestead standards: 30 square meters per person, households with less than 3 people are calculated as 3 people, households with 4 people are calculated as 4 people, households with more than 5 people are calculated as 5 people, expanded residences The newly occupied land area should be calculated together with the original homestead area. The standards for resettlement homesteads shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant documents of the district.

(5) Those who have any of the following circumstances are not allowed to apply for land to build personal residences:

1. The housing site has reached the prescribed standards;

2. Rural villagers whose registered residence is not in the location where the land is being applied for;

3. Rural villagers who sell, rent or donate their original houses to others before applying for homestead land.
