Measures for Malaysia to reissue temporary travel permits

Temporary personnel who go abroad lose their passports and apply for travel permits.

(1) Applicable circumstances

China citizens who have lost or stolen their temporary passports and are eager to return to China.

(II) Required materials

1. Fill in the Application Form for Passport/Travel Certificate/Return Certificate of the People's Republic of China truthfully and completely 1 copy;

4. A written report of lost or stolen passport. The contents include personal information, lost and stolen passports, passport number, issuing authority, issuing time, home address, work unit, etc.

(3) Application method

Applicants should apply in person at the embassy or consulate according to the principle of proximity, and cannot mail the application or entrust others to do it.

1. This kind of application needs to confirm the identity of the applicant to the domestic issuing authority, so it is impossible to determine the processing time, but the embassy or consulate will process it in the shortest time.

2. The embassy or consulate will issue an automatic inquiry instruction or call the evidence collection time after the document is completed.

3. The applicant can also contact the original domestic license issuing authority or dispatched unit by himself, and ask them to reply as soon as possible, so as to shorten the time for applying for the license.

After receiving the domestic reply, the embassy or consulate will charge $35 for a normal travel permit (4 working days), $55 for an expedited travel permit (2-3 working days) and $65 for an urgent travel permit (1 working day). Only money orders, cashier's checks, company checks and credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) are accepted, and cash or personal checks are not accepted. Please make a cash cheque payable to: Consulate General of China.

3. Only cash drafts (cashier's checks) are accepted in the application documents, and the amount includes a certificate handling fee of $5 per envelope and a mailing service fee (if two people use the same envelope to reply, only one mailing service fee will be charged). The payee of the cash check is the Consulate General of China.

4. If the travel permit is not obtained after one year, the certificate will be invalid and destroyed, which may affect the applicant's next application for the certificate.

(6) Precautions

After the travel permit is issued, the lost or stolen passport will be declared invalid, and even if it is recovered, it can no longer be used. It should be sent to the embassy or consulate for cancellation as soon as possible. Entry with an invalid passport may be refused entry or fined.
