In addition, building a community of mutual cooperation, mutual care and collective efforts is also the goal of community work.

Starting from community work, it is a sunny job. Over the years, the goal of community work has been based on this, and the initial heart and mission have never changed.

Why is community work recognized as a method of social work? There are several reasons:

First, community work is regarded as one of the methods of social work, which actually reflects that there are many interrelated and consistent basic values between them. The methods of community work are not limited to poor areas, but are widely used in different services.

Second, community work is a specific service in social work. Hong Kong is a better place for the development of community work. In 1950s and 1960s, a large number of immigrants flooded into Hong Kong, and the government began to implement community work services and set up community centers to cultivate residents' sense of belonging to the community and the spirit of mutual assistance and cooperation. Community workers provide services in these poor areas, promote civic awareness and help residents use community resources to solve problems. On the other hand, community workers help residents to establish neighborhood relations and encourage mutual care, thus achieving a harmonious community.
