Hungary’s new bill introduces two new concepts: “Visitor Investor Visa” and “Visitor Investor Residence Permit”, which means that the immigration policy is divided into two parts: First, the applicant needs to provide corresponding materials and make a written investment After making the commitment, you will first be approved for the "Visitor Investor Visa". After completing the investment 90 days after obtaining the visa, you can apply for the "Visitor Investor Residence Permit".

However, Hungary has recently adjusted the content of the "Visitor Investor Program". The validity period of the "Visitor Investor Visa" has been shortened from the original 2 years to 6 months, which means that the applicant will have to wait for half a year after obtaining the visa. You must enter Hungary within 3 months and complete the investment commitment within 3 months.

Applicants who want to apply for a Hungarian visa only need to be over 18 years old and choose one of the methods to invest. There are no language or academic requirements.

Three investment methods:

Real estate fund of 250,000 euros:

Invest in a real estate fund of at least 250,000 euros, and the fund must be registered with the Government National Bank. Holding for 5 years;

500,000 euros for house purchase:

Invest at least 500,000 euros to purchase residential real estate in Hungary, and register the land (no encumbrances or claims), contract Within 5 years of signing, the residence may not be sold or mortgaged.

Donation of 1 million euros:

Donation of 1 million euros to Hungarian higher education institutions to support education, science, artistic or creative activity.

The 250,000-euro real estate fund project will officially begin accepting applications on July 1, 2024, while the 500,000-euro home purchase project will be extended to January 1, 2025. After any of the above types of investments are approved, the applicant and his family members can obtain a 10-year long-term residence in Hungary at one time, without immigration supervision requirements, and can work and do business.
