2. Apply to domestic schools for filing.

3. Go back to the place where the account is located to apply for a private passport.

In principle, the first passport application must be handled in person at the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau where the household registration is located. If you are a student with a collective account in Shanghai, you can apply for it at the nearest Shanghai Public Security Bureau. The only materials needed are household registration book, ID card, application form and photos. You can choose to take photos by yourself or on the spot. 4. Issue a capital certificate

5. Ask the US to issue the DS-20 19 form.

Next, ask the American tutor's secretary for the DS-20 19 form. Without this form, you can't carry out the follow-up work, so it must be given priority. The other party's secretary will email you an application form DS-20 19. You need to print it out, fill it out and send it back to the United States together with the deposit certificate. You can choose DHL, FedEx or EMS to send mail to the United States. I chose EMS at that time, because it was a state-owned enterprise and the cost was relatively cheap. The official DS-20 19 will be sent from America in three weeks.

6. Fill in the DS- 160 form online.

Log in to https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ and start filling in DS- 160. The DS- 160 form can be saved at the same time, so it can be filled in before DS-20 19 is sent out. Only on the last page of DS- 160 can the information about the SEVIS fee be filled in after receiving the real DS-20 19. After filling in DS- 160, print the confirmation page. These two barcodes are very important, so make sure they print completely.

7. Pay SEVIS fee and face-to-face signing fee.

8. Make an appointment for an interview by phone

9. Interview
