Where does Shanjieling Village belong?

Shaxi Town Yanjieling Village is located in the northeastern part of the county. Because Xinchang belonged to Shan County five generations ago, and there is a ridge in the north of the village that borders Fenghua, so it is named Yanjieling. In May 2004, the village was formed by the merger of three administrative villages: Yanjieling, Lishaxi and Zhangjiache.

In Shanjieling Village, there is a small street that local villagers nicknamed "Zhongying Street" because before 1959, both sides of the street were under the jurisdiction of Xinchang and Fenghua. On a house in this small street, there is still a special house plate that witnesses historical changes: No. 11, Shanjieling Road, Wanxiangling Township, District 3, Fenghua County. At that time, this Shanjieling Road was an important passage for people in Xinchang and Fenghua to communicate with each other. Today, the transportation is very convenient. The provincial highway from Jiangkou to Baimao passes through the village, and the Yongjin Expressway also has an intersection here. With the development of the times, this street gradually withdrew from the once prosperous historical stage and eventually became a calm mountain village alley.

In the early years, people in the village became rich by planting seedlings. In recent years, from going out to pick poplar trees to developing and cultivating poplar bases, the lives of people in Shanjieling Village have been improving day by day.

In 2003, the construction of the Yongjin Expressway started. The village’s “two committees” took advantage of the village’s Yongjin Expressway crossing to redesign the overall planning of the village and divide the living areas. , industrial zone, attracted a group of enterprises with development potential to settle in the Shanjieling Industrial Zone, effectively settling a group of rural labor forces, and since then the villagers' economic income no longer relies solely on agricultural income.

With the acceleration of the construction of new rural areas, the village has continued to improve its living environment, building a new village complex and an activity room for the elderly, building a new garbage room and public toilets, and building streets and alleys throughout the village. The roads have been hardened and street lights have been installed on both sides, which has greatly improved the quality of life of the people. Yanjieling Village has become one of the model villages for the construction of new rural areas in our county.

Shan Jieling Village and Xinzhai Village, Kaikaiyan Village, Wangjiannian Village, Zhenzhao Village, Gankeng Village, Zhujiakeng Village, Dongcun Village, Sunjiatian Village, Shangcaa'ao Village, Xiacai Village Ao Village, Tangjiaping Village, Shaxi Village, Shengtian Village and Shangxu Village are adjacent to each other.

On December 4, 2020, Shanjieling Village was selected into the list of health villages in Zhejiang Province in 2020.

Near Jieling Village in Yan there are Dongcun Crystal Mine Cliff Inscriptions, Xinchang Grand Buddha Temple, Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks Scenic Area, Xinchang Silk World Tourism Area, Tianmu Mountain Scenic Area and other tourist attractions. There are Big Buddha Tea, Xinchang Atractylodes macrocephala, Xinchang Xiaojingsheng, Pingshui pearl tea, Lanting peach and other specialties.
