I. Conditions for applying for naturalization in Australia

After meeting the following conditions, you can submit an application form to make an appointment for the exam and apply for naturalization. You can freely choose paper application, online application or telephone application, but online application is usually faster.

1, with PR status.

In order to be able to speak and understand basic English, the applicant must attend the interview and state the obligations and rights of Australian citizens in English.

Second, the process of applying for naturalization in Australia

There are four main steps in applying for naturalization: application, interview, naturalization test and naturalization ceremony. The whole process usually takes 6 months.

1, application

Applicants can download the nationality application form online. Fill it out and send the application form and necessary information to the nationality office.

Step 2 interview

5. English: the minimum score of IELTS is 6 (English score within 36 months). The accompanying family members of 65,438+08 and above must meet the requirements of IELTS 4.5 (English scores within 65,438+02 months) or pay for language learning.

6. Health: It is required to meet the health requirements stipulated by the Australian Immigration Bureau.

7. Quality: No criminal record.

8. Debt: The debt owed to the Australian government has been repaid or arranged for repayment.

9. Visa refusal record: the applicant has no record of cancellation or visa refusal in Australia.
