Cultivation of Yuluxiang pear

Youluxiang pear is a variety cultivated by two generations of scientists from Fruit Research Institute of Shaanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences after 30 years. Its female parent is Korla fragrant pear, and its father is Xuehua pear in Zhao county.

Since the introduction of Yuluxiang pear in 1980s, the planting area of Yuluxiang pear in Xixian County has reached 230,000 mu, which is the largest county in China.

Characteristics of Yuluxiang Pear in Xixian County

Yuxian Yulu Fragrant Pear inherits the characteristics of Korla Fragrant Pear, the "mother" of Xinjiang, with reddish fruit color, tender and sweet meat and more juice without residue. It also inherited the quality of "father" Hebei Xuehua pear, with full fruit, white flesh and high sugar content.

Yuluxiang pear produced in Xixian County has large fruit, regular fruit shape, smooth fruit surface, good coloring, white pulp, crisp and refreshing taste, sweet as honey and pure flavor. It also has the characteristics of thin and juicy skin, snapping fingers, crisp entrance, landing without slag and so on.

More than 90% of the whole Lu Xian Yuluxiang pear can be eaten, which is called "fruit juice hanging on the tree" because of its larger size, smaller stone and sweeter juice.

In 20 18, 80% of the land in Xixian county was planted with Youlu fragrant pears, 80% of the farmers were engaged in the production of Youlu fragrant pears, and 80% of the agricultural income came from Youlu fragrant pears. The county took off its hat through the Yulu pear industry.
