Procedures for overseas Chinese to return to China for settlement

Service Name: Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong and Macao compatriots applying for settlement in China.

Applicant qualification: Overseas Chinese (China citizens who have settled abroad).

Required materials: 1, applicant's documents (passport, visa, long-term residence certificate); 2. The applicant's application for returning to China for settlement; 3. The household registration certificate of the applicant's original residence before leaving the country; 4. Draft a written report on residents' consent to accept households; 5. Procedures: the parties concerned provide application materials → the parties concerned fill in the application form for overseas Chinese, and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao settle down → the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office outside the city accepts and submits it to the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Municipal Public Security Bureau for examination and approval → the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office outside the province sends a letter to the Provincial Public Security Department to issue the Certificate of Overseas Chinese's Settlement in China → the applicant holds the Certificate of Overseas Chinese's Settlement in China to settle down at the police station of the Public Security Bureau.

The Municipal Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Municipal Public Security Bureau shall review and report to the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office for approval.

After the approval of the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, it shall be submitted to the Provincial Public Security Department to issue a certificate of overseas Chinese returning to China to settle down.

Do not meet the conditions, the application materials will be returned according to the application procedures, and the Municipal Overseas Chinese Affairs Office will notify the applicant.

If the application is approved, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office will notify the applicant to obtain the Overseas Chinese Residence Permit.
