For some top foreign universities, if domestic college students continue to study the same or related majors as before, they can apply for undergraduate credit reduction and exemption by virtue of their disciplines and grades.

Undergraduate courses in the United States and Canada are generally four years, while undergraduate courses in Britain, Australia and New Zealand are generally three years. If college students have excellent academic background, schools often approve the reduction or exemption of certain credits, and some schools can even reduce or exempt credits for one or two years.

Some academic qualifications awarded by Chinese-foreign cooperative education programs may not be recognized by domestic education departments, but they will generally be recognized by foreign cooperative universities.
