No criminal record, good conduct (no alcoholism, professional prostitute, professional gambler, drug trafficking, bigamy, no child-rearing, cheating the US government).

Generally speaking, the applicant must prove that he or she has been a person with good moral character within the legal period before applying for naturalization (usually five or three years, if married to an American citizen, or one year, if in the armed forces, one year). When determining whether the applicant has good moral quality, the service is not limited to the statutory period. If the applicant has been convicted of murder, he or she will be permanently banned from naturalization. If the applicant is convicted of a serious felony as defined in section 10 1(a)(43) of the Act on or after 19901month 29, he or she will also be permanently banned from naturalization. If a person has the following behaviors in the past five years, he cannot be regarded as a person with good moral character:

Have committed one or more crimes involving moral corruption and been convicted.

Having committed two or more crimes, with a total term of imprisonment of five years or more.

He has committed and been convicted of any controlled drug law except for a simple possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana.

Being imprisoned in a criminal institution within the statutory time limit due to conviction, and the cumulative time limit is 180 days or more.

Have been convicted of gambling twice or more.

His or her main income comes from illegal gambling.

Being or having been involved in prostitution or commercialization.

Is or has been involved in smuggling illegal foreigners into the United States.

Be or have been a habitual alcoholic.

Polygamy is being practiced or has been practiced.

Deliberately failing to support or refusing to support dependents
