Kosovo war

The Kosovo issue has a long history, mainly a feud and contradictory struggle between Albanians and Serbs in a province of Yugoslavia. However, in order to carry out the eastward expansion policy, NATO even supported the separatist movement of Kosovo Albanians.

After Yugoslavia refused to accept the Rambouillet plan concocted by the United States, which led to Kosovo's independence, NATO brazenly began air strikes against Belgrade, the Yugoslav capital, and other cities in an attempt to land by war. However, Yugoslavia did not give in and persisted in the war of resistance. The NATO air raid lasted for 79 days and accepted the mediation of the United Nations because the teacher was ineffective. Finally, on June 10, NATO announced that it would stop bombing and organized a "peacekeeping force" to enter Kosovo.

NATO's air war against Yugoslavia was carried out under the banner of "safeguarding human rights and humanitarianism", which actually caused "humanitarian disaster" to Yugoslavia and Kosovo Province. According to statistics, in this unjust war, NATO, which is dominated by American military forces, invested more than 40 warships and 1200 fighters, dispatched more than 35,000 sorties, and invested more than14,000 tons of bombs and missiles, killing more than 800 soldiers and civilians in South China and injuring more than 6,000 people. More than 50 bridges, 12 railways, 5 trunk highways and 5 civil airports have been blown up, and many power plants, 20 hospitals, hundreds of schools and tens of thousands of NATO military machines have been destroyed and massacred in South China, which is 10,000 times more catastrophic than the so-called "ethnic cleansing" of Kosovo Albanians accused by NATO "human rights judges" against Yugoslavia!

NATO leaders violated the principle of peaceful settlement of disputes in the Charter of the United Nations, believed that military force could solve the problem, bombed Yugoslavia indiscriminately, and even took it out on China. They brazenly sent B2 stealth strategic bombers from the United States to blow up China's embassy in Yugoslavia with cruise missiles, causing 3 deaths and 27 injuries, which seriously damaged Sino-US relations.

China strongly condemned the United States for violating the norms of international relations and attacking embassies of non-belligerent countries, and demanded that the United States publicly apologize, make compensation, provide investigation reports and severely punish the perpetrators. NATO's bombing of China's embassy in Yugoslavia aroused great anger among China people, held a large-scale anti-American demonstration, and greatly shook the White House. After many negotiations, the US government has apologized to the families of the China Embassy for the losses and casualties, and paid two compensations of 32.5 million US dollars. At the same time, the United States was forced to conduct two investigations and report the results to China. However, because the investigation reports are too "mistaken" to be believed, China asked the United States to conduct another investigation to find out the truth.

In mid-April this year, after China refused to accept the results of the second US investigation, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again stressed that the US bombing of China's embassy in Yugoslavia caused heavy casualties of Chinese personnel and serious damage to its premises, which seriously violated relevant international conventions and basic norms of international relations and seriously violated China's sovereignty. This is an extremely serious international illegal act. The China administration strongly demands that the US government conduct a comprehensive and thorough investigation into this incident, severely punish the perpetrators and give a satisfactory explanation to the government and people of China.

At the same time, China kept on making representations about the bombing incident, and NATO's "peacekeeping force" in Kosovo was also mired in a dilemma. The main reason is that NATO troops, though wearing the epaulettes of UN peacekeeping forces, turned a blind eye to the alternative cleansing activities of ethnic Albanians persecuting and killing Serbs, and failed to effectively implement the UN resolution on confiscating the weapons of the "Kosovo Liberation Army" composed of ethnic Albanians. As NATO troops were also attacked by Albanian and Serbian militants, France was forced to send another 7,000 troops to Kosovo, bringing the number of NATO troops to 45,000, so as to gain a foothold.

According to official statistics of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, since the United Nations peacekeeping forces entered Kosovo in June last year, 350,000 Serb-dominated residents have been driven out of their homes, 800 to 1000 Serbs have been killed by Albanians, and more than 50,000 Serb houses have been burned. At present, 30,000 Serbs left in Kosovo live in white terror. Looking at this statistic alone, we can see the failure of NATO peacekeeping activities in Kosovo.

Recently, the American media also admitted that the Yugoslav army still maintained its strength after the air raid and recovered quickly after the war, indicating that NATO did not win the war. At the same time, NATO peacekeeping troops stationed in Kosovo must be supervised by the United Nations, and Russian troops must be tolerated for their own activities, reflecting that NATO's original strategic goal of fostering Kosovo's independence and eastward expansion has been limited. In this peacekeeping operation, the United States spends 1 billion dollars every day, and NATO spends hundreds of millions of euros every day. I don't know how long it will take to finish the task. Western public opinion is generally worried that this hypocritical "humanitarian action" does not know how to end.
