Israel is a country in the Middle East.

The State of Israel (Israel for short) is located in the west of Asia. It borders Jordan in the east, Syria in the northeast, the Gulf of Aqaba in the south, Egypt in the southwest, the Mediterranean Sea in the west and Lebanon in the north.
