Where is Changle Jiulong Lake?

Changle Jiulong Lake is located in Wutu Street, Changle County, Weifang City.

Jiulong Lake, also known as Nanzhai Reservoir, was originally named Yuejiahe Reservoir. It is located 6 kilometers south of Changle County and upstream of Xiaodan River, a tributary of Mihe River. It was originally a small (1) reservoir and was completed in January 1959. The reservoir expansion project started on December 12, 215, and the water was stored on June 3, 218 to bring benefits. The new supporting pipeline project was completed in September 218, and the management and information upgrading project was completed in October 219.

There are 15, residents in Changle City and 12 villages in the lower reaches of Jiulong Lake in Changle. There are important infrastructures such as National Highway 39, Jiaoji Passenger Dedicated Line and Jiqing Expressway, as well as small (1) reservoirs such as Huangbu, Cuijiazhuang and Xihe, which play an important role in flood control. After the expansion of the reservoir, the flood control capacity of Xiaodan River Basin has been greatly improved.

The expansion of Jiulong Lake has also increased the water storage area, improved the surrounding microclimate, further increased the vegetation rate in the reservoir area and the downstream banks of Xiaodan River, and gradually reduced soil erosion. At the same time, the reservoir has become a beautiful scenic spot in the south of the county, which has promoted the improvement of the surrounding environment and the construction of ecological civilization.

The expansion of Jiulong Lake also ensures the ecological restoration of groundwater. After water storage, the groundwater in the region is replenished through the leakage of the reservoir itself and downstream rivers, which raises the groundwater level in the region and realizes the recharge of the groundwater funnel area.
